Archery & Crossbows
Archery
Have a go at this medieval hand to eye coordination sport, allow your instructors to turn you into the next Robin Hood or Maid Marion.
Archery has been used for centuries in competition, so why not try your skill and judgement against your colleagues or friends. All bows used are approximately 20 pounds recurve, which are suitable for ladies, gents and children.
Ideal group sizes are no more than 6 people to 1 instructor over 40-minute time slots.
Competitions can be held and winner’s medals and trophies provided on request.
Crossbows
In addition to the modern recurve bow, why not try your hand at shooting a crossbow. Although never as famous as the longbow, it was still however a much used weapon of the same period. Most people find it an easier weapon to shoot, so to counter this we tend to use much smaller targets, a steady hand and a good eye will always come in handy. Your Instructor will be there to steady your arm and give you helpful pointers.
Ideal group sizes are no more than 6 people to 1 instructor over 40-minute time slots.
These activities can be booked alongside any of the others on offer, to make your day more varied and exciting.
